Loretta earned a BS degree from the University of Kansas and a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Loretta’s interest in preserving a Kansas Century Farmstead for community use resulted in the foundation of Bittersweet Homestead Inc., better known as, “The Homestead.” The Homestead is licensed by the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services as a Community Service Provider for adults with developmental disabilities. The mission of The Homestead is to provide training and employment in agricultural related enterprises. Loretta has developed Homestead Pet Resort & Spa to increase the employment opportunities for those whom the choices are so limited.
