Let me start by saying how impressed we are with You and the rest of the staff at Homestead. It’s so nice to find a group of people who are reliable, loving caretakers of pets who genuinely love their work and do it well. As I mentioned earlier, we are often out of the country for extended periods of time, which means that we have to board our darling “Lucy” for many weeks at a time. When we first started searching for an appropriate place to send her, we looked far and wide. Places here in town are nice, but they basically coop the dogs up in tiny cages and let them out for their prescribed “walks,” then send them back to their “cells.” When we visited Homestead, we saw a really great place with a lot of space, welcoming, attentive staff, clean facilities and happy dogs. When we first dropped Lucy off, she was a bit shy, but you and the rest of the Homestead family welcomed her warmly. Thank You for having a place like this! We have a VERY spoiled dog (that doesn’t know she’s a dog) & in the past when we have left her in a traditional kennel we would come home to find her hoarse from crying & barking and she would always end up sick which the Vet said was caused by her being so stressed while we were gone! When we would pick her up she would go crazy just to see us which took hours for her to finally calm down! The first time we left her at Homestead Pet Spa we came home to find her calm & happy! I couldn’t believe it was our dog we were picking up! She actually played with other dogs which she had never done before. We have since taken her for a day of doggy daycare & when we pulled in to drop her off she jumped out of the car & ran to your door! To know that when we leave her now she is getting the love & care like she would when we are home! Thanks again for such a great place!
